Alpiq IT General context:
The Application & Cloud Integration Services team of Alpiq Group IT provides various Alpiq internal services including the 7x24h support of business critical systems, database services (e.g. fine tuning, SQL query optimization), the operation and/or management of various applications or the integration of new cloud applications/services. The team is also responsible for the operation and improvement of Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments generated by the Alpiq AWS Framework.

We are looking for an AWS Operations specialist based in Prague, eager to take responsibilities, learn and continuously improve services.
As a Senior Cloud infrastructure engineer you will part of the infrastructure team that maintains and develop enhancements for an AWS multi-account organization framework, holding more than 140 accounts and projects. Working together with the architects to Enforce in an automated way the security requirements, cost best practices and all tasks related to the maintenance of the framework, which is constantly evolving.

Your responsibilities:

Support ramp-up of AWS usage with the implementation of automations in order to reduce manual operation effort
Conduct improvements in operational practices, tools & processes
Day-day operational tasks (monitoring performance, availability and utilization, planning and executing changes)
Handle incidents (analysis, provide work-around) in cooperation with service providers
7x24h stand by duty on a rotation basis
Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and problem management
Manage application services

Your qualification:

Advanced in AWS services and best practices (preferred solutions architect certificate) including AWS Organizations, AWS lambda, AWS VPC and many others (very important)
Advanced Terraform coding (very important)
Experience with migration of apps from on-premises to cloud (quite important)
Scripting skills in at least 1-2 languages: Python, Bash, Powershell (very important)
Familiar with GIT and CI/CD best practices
Familiar with container technologies
Networking skill are preferred (DNS, certificates, Routing, etc)
SQL and basic DB knowledge is a plus
Experience with Datadog or similar log monitoring tool is a plus
Web app (front end + backend) experience is a plus
Familiarity with serverless approach is a plus
