To strengthen our Risk Management team in Prague, we are looking for a motivated and team-oriented personality with high analytical skills and experience in risk management.
In this role you will report to the Head of Market & Quantitative Risk Management. In close collaboration with all our trading divisions including Asset Trading, Sales & Origination and Merchant Trading you will keep control of the market risks and enhance our methodologies and reports.
This is a great opportunity to work with highly skilled people from diverse backgrounds and nationalities to oversee risks across multiple markets and asset classes.

Your responsibilities :

  • Risk reporting and supervision of market risk limits and hedging strategies
  • Support development or risk models
  • Close interaction with Trading and Mid Office to understand positions and activities.
  • Focus on the Eastern European trading business
  • Pre-deal closure analysis of risks and impacts
  • Enhance our reports
  • Improve our understanding of non-linearities in the portfolio


Your qualification:

  • Higher education in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance); university degree 
  • ~2-5 years working experience as a risk manager or similar in a trading environment, ideally related to energy markets
  • Advanced knowledge of risk metrics, option theory and understanding of commodity markets
  • Coding experience (we mainly work with Python)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills as well as hands-on mentality and excellent communication skills
  • Languages: Written and spoken ability to communicate in English
