Product & Sales Optimization Manager

At Alpiq, we have dedicated Business Development and Sales Optimization functions to support our colleagues who work with our customers at the front. These roles are absolutely critical for our success, ensuring the reliability and continuity of our daily operations, as well as the forward looking development of new capabilities. Within this organization for the DACH region, we are currently looking for a Senior Product and Sales Optimization Manager. This role is a great opportunity for an experienced energy professional, who is passionate about optimizing and developing capabilities at the crossroads between sales and operations. This job is to be based at Alpiq's offices in Olten, Switzerland and has the following profile.
Your main responsibilities
- Structuring and validating incoming data for instance load profiles, mastering data to ensure correct pricing as well as backoffice (Ceris, KYC) information basis
- Coordinating the offer preparation for customers and serving as first point of contact for external as well as internal stakeholders in regards to operational questions, e.g. invoices or offer templates
- Working with colleagues to ensure that all offer templates are always up to date and to source all informations for offer creation (regulatory, market, customer requests)
- Supporting the creation of customer reportings
- Participating in continuous improvement projects with colleagues from Business Development, supporting the ongoing automatization of our offer process for standard products, ensuring the execution of necessary system adjustments, etc.
- Following new regulatory changes and anticipating their effect on existing contracts and processes
- Gain product and process knowledge about existing Alpiq Sales Products
Your qualifications
- Higher Degree, ideally with specialization in energy management
- A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in the energy business, thorough understanding of market mechanisms, logistics, sales products, energy management data flows, etc.
- Customer centric thinking, focused on finding and creating pragmatic solutions
- Excellent IT understanding, preferably experienced with energy management IT tools, knowledgeable of end customer solutions and products
- Above the average analytical skills and ability to deal with high levels of complexity
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, must speak fluent E & DE
