Senior IT Solution Architect
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior IT Solution Architect to join our IT Corporate – Business Relationship Management team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in enterprise architecture, distributed systems, and cloud solutions, with a strong understanding of business processes and systems.
The Solution Architect will be deeply involved in daily work across all corporate business units, regularly interacting with both stakeholders and subject matter experts.
Your main responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement IT architectures to support Alpiq’s corporate systems like ERP, HR Information System and others.
- Ensure the adherence to architecture principles, standards, and best practices, ensuring alignment with the Alpiq’s business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Design cloud-native solutions using AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Document the architecture of distributed systems and services, implementing resilient, scalable microservices and service-oriented architectures (SOA).
- Ensure architectural consistency and adherence to standards across projects and programs.
- Maintain and update architecture documentation, including reference architectures and guidelines, to ensure ongoing relevance and accuracy.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, application engineering teams to understand business processes and translate them into technical solutions.
- Present and communicate complex architectural solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of proven experience in enterprise IT architecture, with a focus on corporate business applications.
- Certifications in TOGAF, ArchiMate, AWS Solutions Architect, and ITIL4 are highly desirable.
- Proven experience with capability mapping, enterprise modeling, and architectural frameworks (such as TOGAF and ArchiMate), cloud architectures (AWS preferred).
- Familiarity and experience with large-scale Enterprise platforms such as SAP, Workday, Microsoft Dynamics or Oracle Suite is highly considered.
- Experience working with ADOIT, SAP Signavio and Atlassian Cloud are advantageous.
- Familiarity with integration technologies such as APIs, message queues, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong understanding of security architectures, identity and access management (IAM), and compliance in cloud and distributed systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex technical and business requirements and deliver strategic solutions.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
