Alpiq in the Czech Republic, with its headquarters in Prague, is one of the largest cross-border energy traders in Central Eastern and South Eastern Europe. The Shared Service Centre team of Alpiq has more than 100 members and supports numerous Alpiq Group companies.
For our Accounting & Taxes team we are looking for an experienced colleague for the Senior Accountant & Reporting Specialist role.

 

YOU WILL DO…

  • Full responsibility for accounting & taxation (mainly coordination and review) and reporting of Group companies in SEE and other countries in Europe that have business focus on complex energy solutions (Renewable resources, Virtual Power Plants, Energy derivatives, etc.)
  • Responsibility for reviewing and coordination of work of junior accountants and providing support to them
  • Daily communication with external accountants, preparation of reporting package, review of local taxes, general administration 
  • Accounting of chosen complex transactions
  • Monthly closing and reporting under IFRS 
  • Daily communication in English with colleagues around Europe 
  • Management of statutory audits in Group companies (financial statements review, communication with the external accounting companies, audit coordination)
  • Ad-hoc projects and reports 

 

DO YOU HAVE?

  • University degree Accounting/Economics is preferred
  • Czech Institute of  Accountants or ACCA finalized or in progress is big advantage 
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting/audit
  • Knowledge of IFRS (other local accounting standards are advantage)   
  • PC literate (MS Office, SAP)   
  • Communicative knowledge of English, other languages as advantage (German, French, Turkish, Bulgarian, etc.)   
  • Team player, tasks prioritizing and time management 
  • Willingness to learn new things 
  • Experience in international environment or SSC would be an advantage (especially in energy business)
