Alpiq is looking for a personality to enlarge Alpiq Group Tax team in Prague.
We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to be part of the Alpiq headquarter tax team with focus on international tax agenda for whole Alpiq Group, cooperate on Group transfer pricing strategies and support tax management in the CESEE region in terms of direct taxes, indirect taxes, transfer pricing etc.


Main responsibilities:

  • Management of international tax agenda requirements and relating compliance for Alpiq Group (BEPS, PE, FATCA, DAC6, etc.)
  • Participate in setting group transfer pricing strategies and relevant documentation
  • Management and planning of tax agenda for several entities in CESEE region
  • Close working with outsourced providers, reviewing complex tax returns for multiple jurisdictions
  • Identify and mitigate tax risks
  • Continuously monitor tax processes to ensure they are efficient, accurate, up to date and comply with regulatory requirements/ Develop and implement best tax practices
  • Preparation and update of tax directives
  • Management and coordination of tax audits
  • Preparation of the income tax return for the key Czech entities
  • Ad-hoc tax projects and reports 


Main qualification:

  • University degree Accounting/Economics is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax department of multinational company or Big 4 
  • Knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns
  • Experience in international environment
  • Business level English (speaking and writing) and CZECH required
  • Team player, tasks prioritizing and time management 
  • PC literate (MS Office, SAP)   
  • Czech tax advisory certification and experience in energy business would be an advantage
