Alpiq Services CZ s.r.o. drives in Prague an important Service Center that hosts entire teams and many employees for various Alpiq divisions. Business processes such as information technology, human resources management, and finance are present already. The Service Center in Prague is considered a key competence for fast initiatives, dedicated growth or scalability of teams, and agile business reactions. It contributes to Alpiq's sustainable energy business with equivalent, cost-effective professionals, dedicated to business excellence throughout Alpiq's activities.

 

 

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Operating the Prague location of Alpiq as a service center for nearshored teams and for Alpiq subsidiaries (FTE ~ 110)
  • Offer and operate the Alpiq Prague location as  (i) an attractive organizational and logistical infrastructure  (ii) for units, departments and teams   (iii) to move a subset of positions, from regular Alpiq support and group center activities, to the nearshoring location, mainly but not only from Switzerland (iv) in order to substantially reduce the total cost per position 
  • Nearshoring service, as a group service, available for all functions of the company 
  • Making sure the nearshoring service comprehends the required regional services like facility mgmt, HR and IT services, and minimal finance/tax services needed for CZ 
  • Supporting all concerning managers from the HQ and the various divisions with advice and with a complete service along the life cycle of nearshored teams and positions 
  • Providing an adequate platform for on-demand scaling of teams (means ramping up and ramping down, on demand), with a well-managed set of body-leasing and consulting partners 
  • Installing and maintaining appropriate management over all nearshoring teams, making sure that delegation of work, collection and integration of results, and appropriate scale up/scale down of external partners happens within given quality and quantity limits 
  • Participation and contribution to the appropriate governance of the nearshoring operation 
  • Responsibility for the budget, the personnel and the projects related to the Alpiq Service Center Prague, except for the nearshored teams and positions, which are cost-wise attributed to the respective departments in the (business or functional) divisions 
  • Representation of the service center as Managing Director of the legal entity (Ltd.)

Your qualification: 

  • Experienced manager, with 7+ years of experience in senior management, with nearshoring or service center background in CZ. 
  • A manager with experience with a Swiss headquarters is preferred, any other middle European headquarters are an asset. 
  • Experience with local recruitment of key persons like team managers or key specialists necessary, maintaining a strong network in CZ 
  • Proven track record in people development and people management, leading at least two line managers 
  • 3+ years of experience in evaluating and utilizing local service partners for scaling workforce and for project execution 
  • Stakeholder-friendly communication with good standing in front of executives 
  • Decision maker, able to make quick and qualified decisions. 
  • Advanced Czech and English language skills are a must, good German an asset, and other European languages considered valuable.
