Cloud Engineer
As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will collaborate with Cloud Engineers, Solution Architects, and Development Teams to design and implement robust, cost-efficient, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure solutions for the Sales and Origination domain, with a focus on supporting flexible asset management and low-latency, real-time loads. You will play a pivotal role in optimizing infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency while maintaining compliance with architectural and security standards.
Your main responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and support fault-tolerant and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure tailored to the Sales and Origination domain.
- Develop scalable, low-latency solutions to manage real-time loads and support flexible asset management.
- Ensure robust infrastructure setup for high availability and resilience to failures.
- Optimize infrastructure costs while maintaining performance and reliability through effective use of AWS services.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application lifecycles and automate deployment processes.
- Enhance release management workflows to support frequent and reliable deployments.
- Ensure cloud solutions meet the performance and latency requirements of real-time applications critical to Sales and Origination.
- Develop monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively address performance bottlenecks and reliability concerns.
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Developers, and stakeholders to align infrastructure design with business needs and technical requirements.
- Coordinate the implementation of business requirements, ensuring alignment with operational objectives and security standards.
- Implement high-availability architectures using AWS services like Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancers, RDS Multi-AZ, and EKS.
- Develop disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure business continuity.
- Identify and implement strategies to optimize AWS resource usage and reduce cloud expenses.
- Leverage tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, Savings Plans, and Spot Instances to manage and lower cloud costs effectively.
- Actively participate in code reviews, document reviews, and peer learning activities to maintain high standards and promote best practices.
- Share knowledge to enhance the team's capabilities in managing cloud infrastructure.
- Follow and improve best practices for configuration, change, and release management.
- Ensure all changes to cloud infrastructure are properly documented and tracked for audit and compliance purposes.
- Provide expert-level support for complex cloud-based application environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and real-time loads.
Your profile:
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- AWS or other cloud certifications are highly advantageous.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience included advanced experience in designing and implementing fault-tolerant, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.
- Expertise in tools such as Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes for infrastructure automation and container management.
- Proven experience with implementing “infrastructure as code” solutions with CI/CD pipelines like GitLab pipelines, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.
- Strong understanding of low-latency systems and performance optimization for real-time applications.
- Proficiency in managing multi-account AWS environments and implementing DevOps strategies.
- Understanding of real-time data processing and the challenges of supporting critical business operations.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and align cloud solutions with business objectives.
- Experience in implementing robust change and release management processes.
- Expertise in monitoring and optimizing AWS costs, including experience with cost-saving measures like Reserved Instances and Spot Instances.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
