At Alpiq, we are currently looking for a Structured Pricing Analyst to reinforce our energy trading activities. This role will be part of our Structuring Desk, where our origination deals are hedged and managed. It is ideal for somebody with a quantitative finance background, who enjoys both the complexity of structured products as well as the commercial challenge of such transactions. For this job, which is to be based in Olten, Switzerland, we welcome applications from all levels of seniority. 


Your main responsibilities

  • Pricing structured products from Origination channels and brokers, using available pricing tools and market inputs
  • Proposing enhancements to existing tools as well as developing prototypes for new ones, in cooperation with the Quant Team
  • Participating in hedging proposals for new deals
  • Back up of team members
  • Improving data flow and data management at the desk


Your qualifications

  • University degree in a relevant discipline (Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of the European power & gas market, ideally several years of experience in a similar function 
  • Good mathematical modelling and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent analytical and coding skills (Python, VBA, a.o.) 
  • Great communication and influencing skills, fluency in English, additional European languages a plus
