D&C Technology is a functional unit that supports Alpiq’s Business Area Digital & Commerce with management systems for the trading, origination and energy sales businesses, including the delivery of digital solutions for customers from the industrial, commerce and energy sectors.

 

In this role you will report to the Head of ETRM & Trading Applications. You will be accountable for Murex application engineering and that the application meets internal and external stakeholder needs. You ensure best practices around application management and will work closely with other teams from D&C Technology, the other D&C teams and the support functions of Alpiq.

Your main responsibilities

  • Design and development of Murex Front Office and VaR calculations
  • Creation of new Murex simulation views and Datamart extractions
  • Development of Murex Flex Modules
  • Cover as technical specialist and discuss requirements and technical solutions on relevant projects.
  • Stay up to date on IT best practices, including methodologies, processes and tools. Ensure continuous improvement.
     

Your qualifications

  • 5-10 years of Experience with Murex Version 3.1.3x or higher
  • Master’s degree in IT, Mathematics or similar
  • Experience with risk calculations, VaR module in general but specific Tailor VaR as a must
  • Experience with FLEX modeling as a must
  • Used to work with Murex simulation and Murex Datamart
  • Experience with commodity instruments or interest rate swaps as an advantage
  • Proficiency in English
