Risk Technology Manager (all) 80-100%
Location: Olten/Lausanne (CH) or Prague (CZ)
To strengthen our Market & Quantitative Risk team, we are looking for a Risk Technology Manager with solid technical expertise and a strong interest in risk analytics. This position reports directly to the Head of Market & Quantitative Risk Management and plays a key role in setting up and configuring the analytical framework needed for the operations of the Market Risk department. Acting as the interface between Market Risk and IT, this role implements IT policies related to security and quality and ensures that the system landscape operates securely and reliably to support the accurate calculation of key risk indicators.
Your main responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining our analytical backbone required for the operations of quantitative and market risk management
- Setting up and configuring calculations of key risk indicators
- Managing internal data needs sourced from other stakeholders, such as positions and market data
- Enabling efficient processes for reporting, validation and price testing
- Driving the technical aspects of internal initiatives aimed at enhancing and further developing our key risk indicators
- Implementing IT policies related to system security and quality
- Acting as an interface towards IT, coordinating technical responsibilities for the risk engine between IT and risk teams
- Maintaining Linux and Windows servers as well as cloud setups (AWS)
Your profile
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or a related quantitative field
- Several years of experience working with IT solutions for risk management or PnL reporting
- Strong practical knowledge of relational databases, SQL and Oracle
- Solid programming experience in Python, including Pandas and NumPy
- Experience with GitLab or similar version control tools
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, ideally AWS
- Experience with Linux server management
- Knowledge of power and gas markets and products and understanding of core risk management concepts is a plus
- Fluent in English; German is an advantage
