Junior Power Analyst

The Power Analysis team at Alpiq is seeking a Junior Power Analyst to improve and strengthen the power markets modelling and analysis.

 

 

Your accountabilities

 

  • Developing tools and improving trading models by using programming techniques, in particular machine learning and optimization.
  • Maintaining, expanding and enhancing existing analysis solutions for traders 
  • Collaboration with Market Analysis teams

 

 

Your profile

 

 

  • University degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science or Quantitative Economics
  • Up to 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong Coding (R, Python, etc.) and database skills (SQL)
  • Understanding of energy markets is a plus
  • Fluency in English required
  • EU or Swiss passport
