Information Governance Specialist & Records Manager (all); 80 - 100%

We are looking for an Information Governance Specialist - Records Manager for the Alpiq Group, reporting to the Head Compliance. If you have experience in and a strong track record of managing the day-to-day business with regards to Information Governance and Records management and can help support the local experts in our country offices this is your next challenge!

In this position you are responsible for supporting Information Governance and Records Management across the Alpiq Group, covering all activities across Europe and has to work closely with the local teams.  This role offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team, where your expertise will be crucial in identifying and implementing compliance guidelines across Alpiq. With a focus on communication, you will be interacting with various teams within the organization including executive boards members and country chairs on specific projects, ensuring that all records are managed effectively and efficiently.

This position offers flexible working arrangements, with only three days per week required office. The role is ideally based in Olten or Lausanne, Switzerland, although other Alpiq locations may be considered. 


Your main responsibilities

 

  • Support the effective management of all records within Alpiq
  • Lead Data information projects
  • Identify and implement compliance guidelines including the classification of documents
  • Communicate effectively with various teams across Alpiq
  • Supporting the Archive team in organizing and maintaining physical files of documents 
  • Ensure all life cycle processes are efficient and effective
  • Provide support to other members of the team as needed
  • Continually review and improve data life cycle systems
  • Coordination and training of employees to ensure proper use of information governance  processes
  • Supporting the regional Local Records Manager Partners in their activities 

 

Your profile

 

  • University degree or other professional qualification in information governance, records management or Legal 
  • A minimum of 7 years professional experience in the field of information governance and records management or data governance in an international company.
  • Good understanding of data governance and data privacy
  • Preferably knowledge of contracts used in the energy industry 
  • Understanding of energy industry, in particular power, of advantage
  • Know-how in the field of project management of advantage 
  • Personal gravitas and ability to challenge others, ability to find and propose alternative solutions. Excellent communication and influencing skills, ability to inspire trust and promote cross-functional collaboration.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and share knowledge and learnings
  • Business fluent in English, additional languages, in particular German and French, of advantage
