The Alpiq Head Shared Service Center IT is responsible for operating and further developing the nearshoring location Prague with a high degree of independence. You will be able to define the setup, its governance and operational concepts in close cooperation with the CTTO/CIO before implementing the setup. You own the carrying out of successful operations and expansion of the nearshoring activities. To excel at this position, you are an excellent motivator and outstanding communicator to the CxO, IT unit leaders as well as near-shoring employees. This role can be based either in Olten, Switzerland or directly in Prague.


Your main responsibilities

  • Transfer services from headquarter IT to nearshoring location in cooperation with respective functional heads in headquarter IT 
  • Operate the nearshoring location in close alignment with the CTTO/CIO 
  • Continue to expand the nearshoring location where appropriate 
  • Align with business side regarding considerations for nearshoring location(s) 
  • Ensure nearshore location employees embrace ALPIQ values and drive for excellent service delivery  
  • Leverage the local talent pool, take good business decisions for make or buy, partner with local firms to further leverage the offshore platform 


Your qualifications

  • Min. 8 years of professional experience of setting up, establish and scaling nearshoring locations, from conceptulization to rollout and execution  
  • Mi. 5 years of experience in leading and motivating multi-disciplinary and international team 
  • Experience of IT management processes across operations, change and delivery 
  • In-depth and broad understanding about IT and business-supporting services in the energy sector, their core characteristics and viability for near-shoring 
  • Results-oriented approach with a strong history of delivery (on-time, to-quality and in-budget) 
  • Outstanding ability to plan and run (multiple) large-scale technology projects/portfolios 
  • Excellent motivator and communicator to drive the setup of nearshoring on CxO and IT leadership level as well as with the nearshoring employees 
  • High degree of business acumen to create a successful and profitable nearshoring setup
