We are seeking an ambitious and experienced Contract Manager to join our Legal Asset International Team. This role focuses on managing the entire contracting lifecycle for flexibility projects, particularly in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across various European countries. If you have a strong background in contract management within infrastructure engineering or power plant construction, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful renewable energy projects.
Your main responsibilities
- Manage the entire contract lifecycle from RFP to close-out for flexibility assets and renewable energy projects
- Support RFP management, commercial evaluations, and best practices in construction and contracting strategies
- Participate in contract negotiations with contractors and suppliers, drafting EPC and O&M contracts
- Oversee contractual activities during construction and warranty periods, ensuring all obligations are met
- Implement contractual procedures for claims, insurance, variation orders, and notifications and support project risk and opportunity analysis
- Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with contract requirements on all sides
- Proactively manage claims with contractors, suppliers, and partners, including negotiations and settlements
- Maintain contract records, ensuring proper documentation and audit-proof management
- Manage project insurance and related claims
- Manage and enforce warranty claims against contractors and suppliers
Your profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management, preferably in infrastructure engineering or power plant/BESS projects.
- Master’s Degree in law, engineering, economics or similar
- Strong understanding of contract requirements, processes, and claim management.
- Experience leading negotiations with customers and suppliers to optimize value.
- Proficiency in English and German; knowledge of French or Finnish is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel to project locations as needed (1 – 2 per month)
