BESS Project Engineer (all)
Alpiq is looking for an experienced BESS Project Engineer to lead the technical design and optimization of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS). This role offers the chance to work with a leading renewable energy company and actively contribute to the future of energy storage.
Vos principales responsabilités
- Develop technical designs for BESS projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and grid requirements.
- Assess design packages and identify technical risks and opportunities during investment and M&A phases.
- Support the Technical Lead with analysis, recommendations, and engagement with suppliers and contractors.
- Monitor market trends and evaluate new technologies for future project optimization.
- Act as a key liaison between technical, commercial, and operations teams.
Votre profil
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in renewable energy system design, with at least 2 years focused on BESS projects.
- Strong knowledge of BESS design, industry standards (IEC 62933, UL 9540), and relevant software tools (AutoCAD, MATLAB, PSS/E, HOMER).
- Ability to assess risks and evaluate system performance.
- Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in English, German or French as a plus
