Portfolio Analyst

Your main responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Deal-to-Cash Operations in Spain, ensuring coordination between Middle Office, Management, Originators, Traders, and Finance
  • Ensure and verify alignment between Front Office offers and portfolio agreements, focusing on volumes and P&L compliance
  • Guarantee the complete and accurate representation of the Alpiq Spain portfolio across all systems
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis on P&L and position reporting, providing actionable insights.
  • Analyse, present and explain financial impacts of changes in portfolio production and consumption forecasts
  • Support monthly and annual closing processes for Alpiq Spain
  • Enhance and contribute to the development of current and future reporting tools for Originators, Trading, and Management

 

Your profile

  • Higher degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in similar positions in energy companies, it is essential to bring knowledge in the gas and electricity market.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Power BI for data analysis and Reporting. 
  • Strong willingness to engage with Management and Sales and Origination teams, coupled with excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset to challenge the status quo. 
  • Above-the-average analytical skills and ability to deal with high levels of complexity (systems and processes)
  • A team player with strong analytical skills, organizational ability, and a results-driven approach. Capable of handling daily challenges with initiative and critical thinking.
  • Fluency in English is a must, any other European language a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as required
