Portfolio Analyst - Middle Office

In Spain, we offer the possibility to join an exciting developing project in an international environment, focused on energy production in thermal and renewable installations, electricity and gas trading, and risk management solutions for customers and producers.

The successful candidate will join as Portfolio Analyst – Middle Office in an international environment, focused on electricity and gas trading, energy production in thermal and renewable installations and risk management solutions for customers and producers.

The main duties will consist of:

• Analyse and validate daily compliance with Front Office offers and portfolio agreements (volumes, P&L).
• Verify reconciliation approvals of invoices issued by Alpiq Group to Alpiq Spain.
• Ensure Alpiq Spain portfolio is complete in all systems, as well as analyse gas and electricity positions (position, Mark-to-Market exposure). 
• Analyse and ensure P&L and position reporting.
• Analyse and present financial impacts of changes in portfolio production and consumption forecasts.
• Participate in Alpiq Spain's monthly and annual financial closures.
• Contribute to the improvement and implementation of the Company's tools.

What are we looking for on a successful candidate?

• At least 3 years of experience in similar positions.
• Experience and relationship with energy companies, as well as knowledge of the gas and electricity market.
• Knowledge of database language (SQL) and advanced Excel (Visual Basic).
• Knowledge in SL ATR, as well as in the phases of the commercial cycle, ATR, contracting, switching and invoicing.
• High level of English.
• We are looking for a person who is eager to work in an international environment, who knows how to work in a team and who has a high analytical, organisational and results-oriented capacity.
