To strengthen its project management team, active both on the Group's existing power plants and on innovative projects internationally, Alpiq is looking for a senior project manager for its Lausanne, Switzerland location. 


Your responsabilities


In this position, you will be responsible for the following tasks, among others:

  • Construction project management: new developments, major renovations, expansions, from feasibility to completion
  • Management of suppliers and service providers required to carry out projects
  • Management of project stakeholders, internal customers and relations with authorities
  • Asset management consulting services and delegated project management for third parties
  • Drafting and follow-up of consulting services offers
  • Carrying out audits, due-diligence missions of hydroelectric facilities and consulting missions for external clients


Your profile


The candidate sought will have the following profile:

  • ETH Engineer in Civil Engineering, Mechanics or Electricity
  • At least 10 years professional experience in industry or energy production, particularly in hydroelectricity
  • At least 5 years professional experience as a project manager for major energy projects, particularly in hydroelectricity
  • Confirmed practice in construction projects in Switzerland, of SIA 103, 108 and 118 standards and KBOB and SIA standard contracts
  • Knowledge of construction law and public procurement
  • Experience abroad, knowledge of international standards and practices (FIDIC contracts)
  • Demonstrated customer orientation, experience in the sale of services
  • Main degree ideally complemented by a degree in project management (PMBOK or Prince2 or similar) or asset management (IAM certificate or diploma)
  • Ability and willingness to travel abroad for assignments of one to three weeks
  • Demonstrated analytical, initiative, planning and organizational skills
  • Mother tongue French, English or German, with excellent knowledge of the other two languages including the ability to write reports and notes (level C1 required). Additional language skills is an asset
  • Swiss nationality, citizen of a Member State of the European Union or with a valid work permit
