Mission 

Alpiq is focused on the long-term management of renewable energy assets across Europe. Our Italian portfolio includes operational utility-scale solar PV, wind and small hydro assets. 

We are seeking an experienced Asset Manager with strong expertise in renewable energy asset management to oversee and optimize the performance of a diversified portfolio of assets across Italy. Reporting to the Head of Asset Management and O&M Italy, the role will be responsible for maximizing asset value, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing key stakeholders, and driving operational and financial performance throughout the asset lifecycle. 

The successful candidate will Act as a key interface and trusted partner for internal teams 

 (technical, finance, legal, ESG) and external stakeholders (O&M providers, lenders, advisors, regulators, and local authorities). At Alpiq, your energy matters! 

 

Your main responsibilities 

  • Lead the operational and financial management of a portfolio of solar PV, wind, and minihydro assets in Italy 

  • Develop and implement asset management strategies to optimize performance, availability, and value 

  • Monitor KPIs, production data, budgets, and cash flows to ensure targets are achieved 

  • Manage assetlevel budgets, forecasts, and longterm financial models 

  • Ensure compliance with financing agreements, lender reporting, and covenant requirements 

  • Oversee key contracts (O&M, PPA, land lease, insurance) and manage external partners 

  • Ensure compliance with Italian regulatory frameworks and monitor market developments 

  • Lead and support the Asset Management team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement 

 

Your Impact 

 

As Senior Asset Manager, you will play a critical role in safeguarding and enhancing the value of a strategically important renewable energy portfolio in Italy. Your impact will include: 

 

  • Value Creation: Driving EBITDA growth and long-term asset value through performance optimization, cost control, and strategic initiatives (refinancing, contract optimization). 

  • Financial Performance: Protecting cash flow stability and ensuring compliance with financing structures and shareholders return expectations. 

  • Operational Excellence: Increasing asset availability and improving technical performance across the portfolio. 

  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identifying and managing operational, regulatory, and market risks to preserve downside protection. 

 

Your Profile 

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a related field 

  • 7–10 years of experience in renewable energy asset management, infrastructure, or IPP environments 

  • Strong knowledge of the Italian renewable energy market and regulatory framework and strong experience in O&M contract management 

  • Experience managing utilityscale solar and/or wind assets 

  • Solid experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and performance optimization 

  • Familiarity with project finance structures and lender requirements 

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills 

  • Fluency in Italian and English, written and spoken
