We are on a mission to accelerate the energy transition in Switzerland, and we’re looking for a visionary leader to join us as our new Head of Origination Switzerland (f/m/d). In this role, you won’t just be a part of the change—you’ll lead it by fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment. What You’ll Do:


Your tasks – our demand

  • Lead with Vision, Inspire, Empower, and Collaborate:

                -Manage and nurture a team of experts in the field of origination and guarantees of origin across various markets to contribute to the energy transition,

                -Ensure proper knowledge management and leadership development, employee diversity and inclusion
                -Foster a culture of innovation based on leadership, collaboration, and excellence
                -Develop a forward-thinking approach to capture business opportunities contributing to a sustainable energy transition

  • Commit for Success:

                -Foster and maintain relationships with professionals at utility companies, municipalities, cooperatives, flexibility aggregators and corporates
                -Collaborate with trading units to generate PnL by originating, negotiating, and concluding transactions across Alpiq‘s value chains and with the support functions. 
                -Taking ownership of full end-to- end deal responsibility.

  • Innovate for Impact:

                 -Contribute to shape and implement the strategy of the business unit New Energy Technologies in line with Alpiq’s strategy.   
                 -Identify new offtake opportunities to facilitate the penetration of renewable energy sources the through competitive solutions and bilateral discussion for various markets
                 -Expand successfully the range of origination products and services that Alpiq is offering to its Swiss customers with the trading units and support functions 

 

Who You Are:

  • A Market Innovator: You are a outcome-oriented professional with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) and over 5 years of hands-on experience in the Swiss Energy Market, excelling in Trading and Origination.
  • A Strategic Visionary: You see the big picture and can translate market opportunities into bold, actionable strategies that drive sustainable growth.
  • A Proven Leader and Team Builder: You have a coaching-centric leadership style that fosters psychological safety and trust, and inspires those around you.  You have a track record of successfully leading and collaborating with teams to deliver results.
  • A Skilled and inclusive Communicator: You excel in building strong, lasting relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You are leveraging your multilingual fluency in French, German, and English to drive impactful communication and collaboration.
