Mission

The Operations Specialist Working Student supports the end-to-end onboarding process for new and existing customers within Alpiq’s Direct Marketing business in Germany. The role ensures complete and accurate customer, contract, and asset data while coordinating all required onboarding activities across internal and external stakeholders. By supporting contract management, operational setup, data validation, and process execution, the position helps ensure that customers, contracts, and generation assets are implemented in Alpiq’s systems accurately and on time, enabling efficient operational management.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Support the management, validation, and maintenance of customer, contract, and asset master data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and data quality. 
• Perform plausibility checks, identify missing or incorrect information, and proactively coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders to obtain required data. 
• Prepare and manage contractual documentation based on approved commercial offers and support the execution of the contract lifecycle process. 
• Coordinate onboarding activities for customers, contracts, and generation assets, ensuring all required compliance, KYC, credit, and guarantee processes are completed. 
• Support the operational setup of customers, contracts, and generation assets within Alpiq’s systems. 
• Create and maintain deal tickets for new business transactions and ensure their correct transfer into relevant trading and operational systems. 
• Coordinate and inform relevant stakeholders, including Operations, Trading, Accounting, Legal, and Origination, throughout the onboarding and implementation process. 
• Validate and prepare customer and asset data for quotation, pricing, and analysis purposes. 
• Process load profile data, generation data, and other technical information while conducting quality and plausibility checks. 
• Support the preparation of standardized datasets and contribute to the automation of data processing activities. 
• Assist team members with customer inquiries and independently handle straightforward customer requests.

Your Impact
The Operations Specialist Working Student contributes to the successful onboarding and operational integration of customers and renewable energy assets within Alpiq’s Market Access Germany business. Through accurate data management, efficient contract coordination, and effective stakeholder collaboration, the role supports high data quality, operational reliability, and a seamless customer experience. By ensuring that onboarding processes are completed correctly and on time, the position enables efficient portfolio growth and operational scalability.

• Interest in the energy market, particularly Direct Marketing and power trading in Germany. 
• Strong stakeholder and customer management skills. 
• Excellent organizational and time-management capabilities. 
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality. 
• Ability to work independently and coordinate multiple processes simultaneously. 
• Structured and reliable working style. 
• Fluent in German and good English language skills. 
• Nice-to-have:
  •    Initial knowledge of customer onboarding, contract management, or operational processes. 
  •    Strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience in Excel/VBA and Python.
  •    Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a project or operational environment. 
  •    Interest in process automation and data quality management.
